The small market of Winslow is situated in the north of Buckinghamshire between Aylesbury, the county town, and Buckingham.

Winslow has a good number of shops including newsagents and a selection of independent retailers. There is a thriving farmers’ market held on the first Sunday of each month. The popular Winslow Show, a gymkhana and agricultural event, is held every late August bank holiday Monday. Within the town are several pubs and restaurants including Indian, Chinese and Italian, as well as some very popular tearooms and delicatessens.

Of historic interest is Winslow Hall, built in the early 1700s on the instructions of William Lowndes, the Secretary of the Treasury under William and Mary, and possibly designed by Sir Christopher Wren. Winslow’s oldest surviving building is St Laurence Church, parts of which date from the 13th century. The National Trust properties of Claydon House and Stowe Landscape Gardens are nearby. 

There is a primary school and a special educational needs school, as well as various nurseries and pre-school facilities. Winslow is in the catchment area for The Royal Latin Grammar School in Buckingham. Several playgrounds are maintained in the town. 

Winslow is 10 miles north of Aylesbury on the A413 and 11 miles from Milton Keynes.
